Conversation Visitor: Good afternoon. My nameis Yarelis Sanchez and I have an appointment with Sandra Benitez. Receptionist: Good afternoon Ms. Sanchez. Welcome to University of Puerto Rico. My name is Celimar Fuentes. Ms. Benitez will be here shortly, Can I offeryou something to drink? Visitor: No,thanks. I’m ok. Can I use a phone? Receptionist: Of Course! There’s a faxtoo, if you want to use it. Visitor: Thankyou very much. Receptionist: You’re welcome. Can I offer you any other help? Visitor: Yes,I was wondering how far it is to station Receptionist: It is two miles far. Ten minutes by taxi. Do you want me to getone for you? Visitor: Yes,Please and thank you. Can you do it for3:00 o’clock? Receptionist: Of course. Ms. Benitez is free now. Come with me to the office and have a niceday.

    Why is eye contact important?
    Eye contact is important because it demostrates that you are paying attention to the person. It is important too because it demostrates respect and interest. When you look direct to the eyes, the person feels comfortable and able to keep talking with you.
